Eye exams and glasses in DeLand
Dr. Brandvold and Dr. Ellery see adults and children for eye exams, contacts and dry eye care. An optician fits glasses on site.

What patients say

Dr. Brandvold put the pictures of the back of my eye on the screen and showed me exactly what she was watching.
Sample review
I had given up on contacts after two tries elsewhere. Dr. Ellery tried three lens types with me and explained why each one felt different.
Sample review
My daughter picked her own frames and Lucinda made sure they actually stayed on. Wednesday evening appointments saved us from pulling her out of school.

Meet Dr. Brandvold
I want you to leave knowing what I saw in your eyes, not just a new prescription.
Dr. Brandvold opened the practice in 2014. She does most of the full eye exams and runs the Tuesday dry eye clinic.
Also on the team
Dr. Graham Ellery, OD
Why patients stay
You see what the doctor sees
Your retinal photos go up on the exam room screen, and the doctor walks you through them.
Glasses fitted down the hall
Lucinda, our optician, works ten steps from the exam rooms. Adjustments are free, for any frames.
A late day every week
Open until 7 pm on Wednesdays, so nobody misses school or work for an exam.
Your first exam, step by step

Call to book
Kendra books your exam and checks your vision and medical benefits before you arrive.
Fill in your forms
We text you a link to the forms, or fill them in here 15 minutes early.
Your exam
A technician takes measurements and retinal photos. Then the doctor examines your eyes and explains what they found.
Glasses or contacts
Lucinda fits new glasses. Contact lens patients take trial lenses home. If the trial lenses fit well, we can send your prescription by email or the patient portal.

After hours: If a chemical gets in your eye, rinse it with clean running water for at least 15 minutes, then go to the emergency room. Questions patients ask

Do you take my vision insurance?
We take VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision and Spectera, plus Medicare and Florida Blue for medical eye visits. Call with your card and we check your benefits.
What is the difference between vision and medical insurance?
Vision insurance covers a routine exam and part of your glasses or contacts. Medical insurance covers an eye problem, such as an infection, dry eye or diabetes. We tell you which applies before you come in.
Can I drive after my eyes are dilated?
Your vision is blurry and bright light is uncomfortable for several hours. It may not be safe to drive, so please bring a driver. Bring sunglasses too.
Time for an eye exam
